During this procedure, herbal or medicated oil is applied by appropriate therapeutic procedures like Abhyanga, Choorna Pinda Sweda, Shashtika Pinda Sweda, Pizhichil, Kativasti etc. The oil is selected based on the cause of the pain, and it is followed by a therapy called sudation, which includes application of herbal steam through suitable methods like Bashpa sweda or Valuka sweda.
In cases of abdominal pain, Basti treatment is suggested as it aids digestion and reduces the accumulation of gases.
Agnikarma | Pain Management
Agnikarma is one among the Para surgical procedures which have been mentioned in Ayurveda. The term Agnikarma has evolved from two words viz. Agni (Fire)+ Karma (Procedure), Its a procedure where the condition is treated using direct heat. The therapy works wonders when a person is suffering from joint pains, spasmodic pain, frozen shoulder or spondylosis. Rakta Mokshana (Blood Letting) | Pain Management
